Two rescued brothers. One curious mission.

Our Story - Rescued Brothers, 2020

That's where Curious Kitties Collectibles started. In 2020, we adopted Grayson and Knightly from Small Miracles Cat & Dog Rescue in Ellicott City, MD. They were tiny, bonded brothers who had a rough start, left on the side of a highway. We thought we were rescuing them, turns out they rescued us.

Knightly is the black cat in the blue tie, on left in photo, our CEO, Cat Executive Officer. He's curious, brave, and has to inspect every box that comes into the house. Grayson is our QA manager, quiet, soft, and obsessed with sitting on anything we are trying to photograph, on right in photo. Together, they created our standard: CURATED, CAT-APPROVED, LOVED. Our Business Kitties.

CURATED means we hand-pick every vintage piece. We spend weekends at estate sales, thrift stores, and collector auctions looking for rare treasures from the 1940s to 1980s. We research makers like Chodziez, Fenton, Vera Bradley, and Duncan & Miller.

CAT-APPROVED means Grayson and Knightly test everything. If a vintage planter is too wobbly, they knock it over and we don't sell it. If a blanket isn't soft enough for Knightly to knead, we don't sell it. Our logo, the black cat with the blue tie and gold emblem, is Knightly himself.

LOVED means eco-friendly and give-back. We pack with recycled materials, we print merch on sustainable blanks, and a portion of every single sale goes back to Small Miracles Rescue and other small rescues that don't get big funding.

We started with 20 pieces in our living room. Now we have 563 vintage treasures and counting. We are an Etsy Star Seller because of you, our community of cat lovers who love a good story and a rare find.

New chapter: Our sister studio, Curious Kitties Studio™, is now the dedicated home for all original designs under the Curious Kitties Collectibles family umbrella. Studio is where every design that starts as a real photo we took lives, including our hand-edited illustrations, our RPG world Paw and Parchment, and our Yawning Cat characters. All new merch and original apparel will move to Studio's own Etsy and Printify store. Collectibles will continue as your home for vintage.
